Police say a man who was turned away from entry into the nation on Friday opened fire at the airport in the capital city of Moldova, Chişinău.
According to Moldovan police, “a foreigner who was refused entry into Moldova opened fire at Chisinau International Airport.”According to the authorities, the shooter was hurt and is currently undergoing medical care. Police were present at the airport, according to police spokeswoman Diana Vitko, and planes were delayed.
The largest airport in Moldova, it serves as the country’s principal international gateway.
