Standoff with man accused of shooting at deputies in San Gabriel Valley continues over 24 hours
A standoff involving a man who allegedly fired shots at Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputies has reached over 24 hours in length after it continued into Saturday evening with no resolution, authorities said.

Deputies responded to a call of an assault with a deadly weapon at a home in the 16900 block of Wing Lane in Valinda around 2:30 p.m. Friday when they came under fire, officials said.
Deputies returned fire and set up a perimeter around the home. Several neighboring homes were evacuated.
